How to enable Return (for Revision) as an Admin

As an Admin, you can enable forms to be returned for revision. This gives participants the opportunity to update their responses and resubmit the form.

To return a form for revision, make sure the Return for Revision option is turned on

  1. Click the Action icon for the form you will be using and select edit form template.

  1. Select the participants menu and click the edit icon for the participant you would like to update.

    NOTE: The Owner participant does not have a Return for Revision option. This setting can only be applied to additional participants.

  1. Set ‘Allow Return for Revision’ to Yes to enable this option for the chosen participant (see example below) and press save at the bottom right.

  1. Set ‘Can Return to Anyone’ to Yes if you want the participant to be able to return the form to any other participant and click save at the bottom right.

    NOTE: If this is not enabled, the form will be sent back to only the previous participant.

How to Return (for Revision) as an Admin

As an Admin, you can send a form back to participants if changes are needed. This lets them revise their answers, fix any mistakes, and resubmit the form.

With Return for Revision enabled, you can choose to either process and submit the form or send it back for updates after a participant submits it.

       1a. In the queue of the form you are working on, select the number under the Multi column.

        1b. In the queue of the form you are working on, select the number under the Pending column.

      2a. In the Multi Pending window, press the PDF icon of the form you want to Return for Revision as         shown below.

    2b. In the Pending window, press the PDF icon of the form you want to Return for Revision as shown       below.

  1. In the window that opens, click the Action button in the top-right corner and choose ‘Return for Revision’ from the menu.

  1. The next screen displays the email that will be sent to the selected form participant. You’ll need to choose the participant, enter a subject line, and write the email message. When finished, click ‘Return Form for Revision’ at the bottom left.

    NOTE: You will only be given the option of returning the form to more than one participant if ‘Can Return to Anyone’ is enabled

  1. A green ‘Success’ message will appear in the top-right corner, confirming the email was sent to the selected participant. Repeat steps 2–4 as needed for each submission you want to return.
